Kim crying’s was real and filled with emotions but she did an okay job. I am not sure they want to put Nene on the track because she wouldn’t be serious about it. I don’t think it was about sharing the spotlight but she wants to shine and this is a real challenge for her and not Nene. People need to stop always putting him down. Maybe she is a pathological liar but she is a person with feelings and not perfect. We have nasty and disgusting faults. Some of us are pretentious like the Real Housewives of New York, some of us are trashy like some of the Real Housewives of Orange County, and some of us are ignorant as hell like some of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Kudos to Kandi Burruss for trying to work with Kim, though putting her music career and credibility on the line, she showed how diverse her skill set is and how wonderful of a person she is. I don’t know much about the music industry; that includes legal, contracts, negotiating, recording processes, financial risks and responsibilities and how deals get made! I would love to learn about that industry for knowledge but there is a whole game in this industry and each player has their own strategy to win the audiences over! I am sure Kandi does a great job and she is serious with her music but I would like to see her coach younger artist and write music for all kinds of artist in different genres. She is definitely multi-talented and further along than her ex-bandmates but she has a lot of opportunities at her doorstep. She is young and has a lot of time to make an impact!
Speaking of Tardy for the Party and impact, what is Sheree’s story line this year? We just see her going to parties, trying to pull wigs off, throwing her own parties, going to body building championships, looking for a man, training, etc. What is she doing that is fruitful and impactful? She is a mother and that is the biggest job of all but how is she supporting herself? We know she did not get a lot of money and that is really none of our business. But what is she doing for her kids and is she teaching value to her 3 kids ( that includes her eldest daughter she doesn’t claim). I don’t know Sheree from a hole in the wall and I am only going by what I see on reality TV (because it’s so real). She stay mean mugging and as young as she wants to look, she is going to look real old soon if she keep frowning.
Sheree sure wasn’t frowning in any of her alter ego photos. I believe Sheree and Kandi had the best alter ego photos. Kandi’s was the most impactful and very tasteful. Nene as a stripper was….decent but I don’t know if her picture was the best. The reveal party was packed with people and they seemed like they had a great time. I was surprised that Nene held her composure with Kim’s injury and dramatics. Kim’s legs did look tore the hell up but she did go the extra mile.
As I write this, I realize that I am just giving a recap of the show and throwing my little comments in here and there. However, what I really want to say is that these women need to get their act together. All of the ladies from the Real Housewives franchise are a bit ghetto and don’t represent reality….just their realities. It’s not a problem to look at the lives of others but we are not them and can’t live their lives, vice versa.
I wish Bravo would look deep into the lives of women who stay home with their kids every night. Pick them up for school and take them to their 100 extra circular activities. The real ups and downs of married life, taking care of a home or apartment, paying bills and worrying about job security. Only 5% of American’s live in luxury and the other 95% have real life problems and have to deal with those challenges everyday. That’s not to say the rich and famous don’t have real life problems but they don’t face what average people face.

Raise your hand if Real Housewives of ATL is your guilty pleasure!

lol. I can't get enough of this show.
You definitely have a point about Kim. Although she seems a bit unstable, her moment in the studio was very sincere and I felt for her. If nothing else, she has us all singing Tardy for the Party, whether we want to or not. I have to admit, though, if I ever hear it at a party I might be a little upset...lol.
I also agree with your last point. The show could be so powerful if they followed women who do impossible things everyday, and do whatever it takes to get it done.
